蔵元紹介SAKE BREWER
Kiyama store
A small storehouse located in Kiyama Town, on the eastern edge of Kyushu's Saga Prefecture, on the border with Fukuoka Prefecture. Kiyama Shoten was founded in the early Meiji period when several local landowners started brewing sake together. We have been brewing sake with the sole desire to provide delicious sake to local people, taking advantage of the underground water that springs from Mount Kusenbe and Mount Kizan, the main peak of the Saga Sefuri mountain range, and the abundant natural blessings of Mount Kizan. The brand name "Kihotsuru" was named after the graceful figure of a crane dancing majestically in the heart of Mt. Kii, where Kii Castle, a national special historic site, stands tall.
