Yoshino River

Yoshinogawa is a traditional Echigo winter brewery. When the first snow begins to fall, the sake brewers purify themselves and enter the storehouse. The snow acts as a filter, purifying the air, and the storehouse becomes a natural refrigerator. The soft water "Tenka Kanrosen" is pumped up from within the brewery's grounds. This soft, clean-tasting water is underground water from the great Shinano River. The characteristics of this water are utilized in the quality of Yoshinogawa's sake.
