Following strawberry and melon, this is the third fruit-based doburoku, "Alcoholic Muskmelon". This doburoku uses plenty of grapes (Kyoho grapes), a taste of autumn, with the skin on. Grapes are, of course, the fruit that reigns supreme in the world of fruits as an ingredient in alcoholic beverages. Plenty of Kyoho grapes with sweet and sour flavors are brewed with Gohyakumangoku sake rice. The grapes are from Yamayo Orchard, an eco-farmer that has been in business for 18 generations. LAGOON BREWERY

"LAGOON BREWERY" is a sake brewery in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture. It is a small brewery located near Fukushimagata, a migratory bird stopover site that has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Natural Wonders. At a time when new sake brewing licenses are not being issued, the brewery obtained a conditional license. Based on sake brewing techniques, the brewery has been attracting a lot of attention as a maker of "craft sake," which has become a hot topic in recent years.
